Almost all automotive line systems are safety relevant and must thus satisfy special quality and reliability requirements.

Nearly all car makers worldwide have been successfully using monowall tubing made of VESTAMID^®, multilayer tube systems with VESTAMID^® layers, and VESTAMID^® quick connectors for a large number of different line systems. Their approval is based on globally recognized standards such as DIN 73378 for monowall tubing and SAE J2260 for multilayer tube systems for fuel lines. Moreover, individual car makers set their own specifications that must be satisfied. This is achieved by means of individually adapted molding compounds and multilayer tube systems that meet these special specifications.

Approval for other VESTAMID^® parts is usually issued on the basis of component blueprints.
