Our high quality VESTODUR® and VESTAMID® compounds for secondary fiber optic jacketing, insulating copper wires and sheathing cables are steadily improved in their processability, viscosity, chemical resistance and aging resistance.
- Our VESTODUR® compounds have helped make us the worldwide market leader in optical fiber jacketing. These compounds can be processed at extraordinarily high speed and they satisfy the stringent requirements for optical fiber jacketing such as lowest mold shrinkage and high hydrolysis resistance even at elevated temperatures and humidity perfectly.
- VESTODUR® and also VESTAMID® compounds are suitable for wire insulation. We offer a variety of flame-retardant compounds that contain halogen- and phosphorus-free flame retardants. In case of fire the VESTAMID® compounds produce only little smoke.
- Particularly a special VESTAMID® L compound has a proven record in the outer-sheathing of termite- and rodent-resitant cables.
- A double jacket system of modified VESTAMID® compounds protects polymer optical fibers, abbreviated POF, for fiber-optic signal processing. The two layers afford mechanical stability, easy handling and efficient flame protection.
